Soy Candle in Hammered Steel Votive

Soy Candle in Hammered Steel Votive

Some candles are worth keeping after the wax is gone. This one earns that before it's even lit — hammered stainless steel vessel, slightly oval, the kind of surface that catches and holds light differently depending on the hour. The candle inside is equally considered: soy wax poured in small batches, scented with essential oils, and free of the synthetic compounds most fragrances quietly carry.

Five scents:

Nohpalli, with notes of agave, chrysanthemum, and patchouli.

Green, which runs cooler — spearmint, eucalyptus, and juniper.

Cala, with hints of clover and lemon peel.

Cypress, with  additional notes of bayberry and patchouli.

Satori, with notes of lavender, rosemary, chamomile, and sage.

Twenty-five hours of burn time, and when it's done, the bowl moves to a shelf, a windowsill, a desk — and keeps doing what it does.

Made by Ardent Goods, a woman-owned company in California. Made in the U.S.
